Coloring techniques in more detail
Program 1
In the brunette family we want to create texture and movement within 3 key areas. On the back perimeter area we block color with a dark petrol black creating depth. The feature panel of this haircut is the front fringe and side areas where pieces of texture are achieved by petrol black, biscuit brown and caramel slices. The rest of the hair is kept in a block color with a cool jade brown applied to keep the focus on the front perimeter area.
Program 2
Long layered brunette hair is given dimension and movement using back to back slabbing slices alternating honey and cool topaz foils to feature the layering around the facial area. A rich mocha brown base color is applied everywhere else to frame and add depth and shine to the long hair giving a multi-textured finished look.
Programme 3
With the blonde family we first on the undercut apply a cool mink blonde in a block color to create depth and cool down any existing brassy tones. The regrowth elsewhere is then retouched to ensure even color. To encourage and emphasis movement and tonal variance we introduce 3 textures of an Icy blonde, a lowlight and a rose blonde, foiling these tones on top and into the regrowth tint. Clever selection of these tones gives feature and movement to the longer layers around the face.
Programme 4
Clarity blonde is the feature here, where we focus clarity in the form of pearlised icy blonde around the parting area alternating foils. To create depth a feature panel around the back is darkened with pewter blonde shadowing into a textured naturalised blonde adding to the brightness and coolness of the icy blonde on the parting area. The technique achieves soft textured blondes with definition without stripeness.
Programme 5
Red being the color of strength is achieved by firstly undershadowing a deep rich cinnamon red around the nape and side under sections. The base color elsewhere is then retouched with a ruby red. A feature panel alternating slices of dark brown and rich garnet red bring movement and focus to the internal layering in the haircut.
Programme 6
Autumn shades in the red family softly feature the frontal layering and wispier side panels in this haircut. An alternative mix of contrasting tones of violet, apricot blonde and brown feature and focus on the layering shadowing against a rich copper brown base color.
